Textile Design And Studio Production Internship (for students in full-time higher education only)

Role Overview:

To support the designer and wider studio team in the day-to-day running of the studio and across multiple creative projects, from design development to production and delivery. 

Placement:

3- 9 month placement with an anticipated start date ASAP

Based in East London | Studio hours: Monday–Thursday, 9am–5pm

Responsibilities include:

  • Fabric research and development

  • Colour testing and dye experimentation  

  • Painting and drawing from still life 

  • Photography

  • Creating and developing mood boards

  • Drawing vector visuals for technical specs for design samples in illustrator

  • Designing garment visuals, including T-shirt mock-ups

  • Developing colour palettes and multiple colourway options

  • Preparing artwork files for digital and screen printing

  • Translating prints into placements and repeat prints 

  • Liaising with suppliers and sourcing fabrics 

  • Assisting with the delivery of workshops and events 

  • Archiving textiles and managing studio samples 

  • Packing and dispatching e-commerce orders 

  • Helping to keep the studio organised and tidy

  

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong personal drawing style and confident illustration skills 

  • Excellent eye for colour, layout, and composition 

  • Basic knowledge of fabric types and print techniques 

  • Basic in Adobe Photoshop and putting designs into repeat.  

  • Basic Illustrator 

  • Basic photography skills

  • Creative problem solver with a strong attention to detail 

  • Comfortable working across multiple tasks simultaneously 

  • Goal-oriented with a proactive and reliable work ethic 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • High level of time management and organisational ability 

  • Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills 

  • Being comfortable travelling across london running errands or visiting suppliers

Please note: This internship is only open to students currently enrolled in a full-time higher education course. Applicants must be available to work in-person at the East London studio for the full duration of the placement. 

Compensation: Expenses up to £25 per day. Please note this is a part time, four day per week internship.

Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Internship ( (for students in full-time higher education only)

Location: London (Studio-based, 4 days/week)

Duration: 3 - 9 months

Join London-based designer Lisa King in her vibrant studio, working across fashion, interiors, and art. This is a dynamic Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Internship, suitable for a second-year placement student, starting as soon as possible for a 3-month duration. 

You'll gain valuable experience supporting the studio across digital campaigns, e-commerce operations, and day-to-day studio management. 

You will assist with:

  • Managing stock levels and maintaining an organised stockroo

  • Updating and managing website content (products, imagery, copy

  • Creating and formatting social media assets 

  • Responding to press enquiries and managing sample call-ins/return

  • Coordinating gifting campaigns and press outreach

  • Designing and sending email campaigns

  • Helping to organise photoshoots (costings, casting, props, locations

  • Preparing samples, showroom setup, and line sheet/lookbook creation

  • Help setup & staff Pop-Up shops (ad hoc)
      

Skills & Attributes Required:

  • Well-presented, professional, and reliabl

  • Positive, can-do attitude — no task too small or too big

  • Strong communication and organisational skill

  • Interest in fashion, craft, art, and visual storytelling

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Experience in the following a bonus: Canva, and Shopify (or other CMS)  

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, and email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp

  •  basic photography and image editing skills (product and content photography

  • Eye for detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
